A picturesque holiday village, nestling high on the Five Fingers mountain slopes. Resting about 1000 feet above sea level on a terraced hillside, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Mediterranean coastline together with the impressive mediaeval Abbey in the village below. Every year in May and June a series of concerts are performed in the historic Hall of the Bellapais Abbey, which is just a short walk from the hotel. Ambelia Village is also an ideal spot for walkers, with a network of hiking paths into the surrounding mountains. Nature lovers will particularly enjoy spring (February to June), when wild orchids, cyclamen, irises, rock roses and anemones, are in bloom.
The restaurant has a very good reputation and the dishes are freshly prepared using organically grown vegetables. If you wish to explore the countryside, relax by the pool or climb over the Crusader castles, Ambelia is an excellent choice.
